Client: Government of the State of Minas Gerais
Scope: Services of “Independent Verifier” were provided to the administrative city of the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, represented by 6 buildings, 804,000 m2 built and approximately 20,000 visitors daily (18,000 employees) in a 2.5 years contract, renewable for the same period.
The scope of the analyses included: (i) performance review and monitoring of all contracts; (2) review and enhancement of KPIs used as a reference for measurement, payment and performance review; (3) PMO of the entire team (12 people full time) including interactions with contractors and the client (government); (iv) Contracts included IT services (systems, more than 15,000 computers, more than 11,000 telephones, helpdesk, etc.), elevators, maintenance, security, water, cleaning, air conditioning, power concession and parking management, official transport, works/constructions and others.

Client: Renova Energía
Felipe was the overall responsible for a wind supply chain evaluation project. The BNDES (Development Bank of Brazil) determined a methodology to certify and verify the development of windmill parts suppliers in projects financed by the bank. Brazilian suppliers had to meet certain conditions in accordance with established milestones. As a result, domestic suppliers have been developed to help the industry supply chain.
The scope included: Providing an objective analysis of the Company’s supply chain planning and execution process to provide specific equipment for their client’s Mill. The analysis considered the quality of their planning and status of the development plan according to the schedule and implementation plan. As a result, a report was presented with conclusions, which showed the differences and recommended validation of the action plans.

Client: USIMINAS
Felipe Gutierrez was responsible for the review of the client’s CAPEX policies and procedures as part of the Corporate PMO redesign initiative. Such policies and procedures included the processes around the approval, prioritization and re-prioritization of investment (CAPEX). This mining and steel company in Brazil had at that time a $14 billion approved CAPEX portfolio.
The scope of services included: (i) analysis, review, and identification of opportunities to improve the policies and procedures for approval, prioritization and re-prioritization of investment (CAPEX) and the impact assessment of proposed changes to a possible change in the operation of the Corporate PMO that was going through a redesign and centralization process; (ii) the internal areas included in the analyses were the Internal Audit, Strategic Planning and Comptrollership with a focus on issues related to the company’s portfolio management; (iii) 7 projects and 11 processes were reviewed; (iv) work performed under a proven methodology; (v) the work involved the analysis and identification of improvements and the development of the work plan for topics such as change management, risk management, procurement management, supply, construction plan, and others; (vi) workshops, interviews, input of good practices of PMO have been conducted; and others.
