CONEXIG, a leading global consulting firm, is pleased to announce the launch of its #Texas operations. The firm will initially focus on two of its services lines: project support and project controls (PSS) and claims and dispute resolution (CDR) services (expert witness services), and will be led by three partners: Carolyn Wong, PMP, Jesús Corona, MSc, and Felipe André Isoré Gutiérrez.
Based in Houston-TX, Carolyn Wong is a chemical engineer with 25 years of professional experience, and about 15 focused on project controls. She is a certified PMP and Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt with a specialty in P6 scheduling for capital and maintenance projects. Other areas of expertise include contractor schedule submittal reviews, schedule delay analysis / time impact analysis, schedule risk analysis as well as cost analysis for construction projects in a variety of sectors including oil & gas, energy and transportation. Carolyn is a new partner and the local leader for the development of CONEXIG Texas. Carolyn arrives after CONEXIG has come to an agreement to acquire Carolyn’s company, Project Controls Technology, a 7-year-old certified women-owned company where she was the President. Before that, Carolyn has passed through relevant market players such as Intel, Shell, Roche, HNTB, Enterprise, United Airlines, and Faithful+Gould.

Also based in Houston-TX, Felipe Gutierrez, the founder of CONEXIG, is a testifying expert in economic damages, quantum, and fraud investigations within industries like oil & gas, mining, energy, and transportation. With 25 years of experience, he’s fluent in four languages and has an extensive international career spanning 4 continents. Previously a partner with KPMG and HKA, he holds a BSc in accounting (CPA in Brazil), a MSc in Economics, and two post-graduate degrees in law, including an LLM in construction law and arbitration. Additionally, he obtained certifications in project management (PMP), fraud examination (CFE), construction audit (CCA), cost engineering (IBEC-CRK), risk management (CRMA), and internal audit (CIA). Felipe has been recognized amongst the best in his field in publications such as Who’sWhoLegal yearly, since 2015.

Jesus Corona is a testifying expert and consultant on delay and cost issues with extensive experience in dispute resolution and avoidance services in industries such as oil & gas, mining, energy and transportation. His participation in international arbitrations as an expert witness include testifying at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Netherlands, in ICC cases in NY and across Latin America as well as testifying in several jurisdictions across the region in local ADR. Jesus has earned a BSc in information science, a master in construction management and a master in engineering management. He has led the dispute resolution practice in Latin America and is now moving to Texas to join the team. Jesus has been recognized amongst the best in his field in publications such as Who’sWhoLegal yearly, since 2021.
